Britz Campervan Hire Broome

It was a successful road trip from Broome to Perth in 12 days without major issues with the hi top camper van. It was an easy booking and most of the customer service reps were very helpful with questions and inquiries. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. There were basic utilities which came so handy, although some work if the van was plugged to a power outlet. However, there are services that hopefully will improve, thus, I only give 3 stars. When we picked up the van in Broome, the guy who was in the office was very rude. I asked nicely if he could show me quickly some stuff about the van, I told him that it was my first time to hire one and even to do the long driving. He insisted all instructions was in the THL app which he asked us to download. He was dropping a unfriendly nasty remark , along the line that only people without direction could not get it when I said there were things I was confused. I do understand that due to covid, they tried to limit face to face transactions, it does not make much difference since we picked up the key in person. He was not even wearing face mask if it was a big deal. Knowingly WA has no active cases in community, a little help would not hurt. He confidently told me the app works even offline if we have to watch the video instructions again, which actually NOT. The GPS navigation device was a total disaster, much more when in remote place. The fridge was so filthy and it did smell, as well as the microwave. He did the inspection of the car before we came, but we took video of other things that was not documented. They could always claim to insurance since we bought a hassle free one, still it was not right.

Do not rent here! When you arrive they charge you an extra 1,000 usd for insurance. They gave us the vehicle without the floor of the store, so we had to sleep inside the car and lose a day coming back to pick it up, in addition to the spent gasoline. When we arrived they didn't even apologize. They gave us another super dirty annex and when we claimed that we wanted one in good condition they treated us badly. Better find another place to rent.

Hired a HiLux from Britz in Broome for a 4WD trip around the Kimberleys. A good vehicle but the trip was let down by stupid little faults.Rear drivers side tyre was slightly flat. Had to pump it up to correct pressure and keep checking it in case of a slow leak.Only 2 full propane canisters, was told 4 where in the vehicle. Had to purchase extra along the way.Tent fly screen zip was jammed and wouldn't close. Had to close main tent flap to stop insects entering. Not good ventilation in 35 degree heat.Part of the dash fell down onto accelerator pedal. Had to tie it back up under the dash to prevent it interfering when driving.The Broome depot closes at 3pm so payed a days rental but only got 6 hours use.Very poor dust sealing in the ute. Had to cover the fridge and draws with tarpaulin to prevent dust entering.Otherwise a good vehicle let down by poor and stupid preparation. A flat tyre on a vehicle leaving the Broome depot is really poor. Not much info on using the functions on the vehicle. Was told to download an app... but no mobile or internet coverage so a pretty useless suggestion.

I'm from NSW and I was asked by Britz Campervan Hire to write a review on a Western Australian campervan holiday i had to cancel for work reasons however i will inform people to be aware of Discovery Campervans cancellation policy....no refund of deposit if cancelled 6 months prior to departure... I only gave them 2 1/2 months notice. Note also they had no Covid cancellation policy.Same problem with the airfares. I booked through Gotogate ...no refund but i am allowed to book the exact same flights up until December this year for flights taken prior to 31st December 2023.

6 berth Campervan was great with plenty of space for the two of us. And maybe a young family with small children.Better Camper chairs Would have been a little more comfy.Had a small issue with the fridge not working. Service was great had an electrician attend the next day promptly all sorted and on our way.Everyone involved was excellent with communications to get it fixed. Peter from Broome went above and beyond great customer services.Would definitely use britz again and would recommend To anyone wishing to hire a campervan.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!We have had a horrible experience since day one. Issues with multiple things in our caravan. The “on road” phone number they tell you to call, they do nothing and they just put you on hold for ages.They didn’t check the van was in working condition before we picked it up.The charged us $1300 on top of what we had already paid just because we needed to change drop off location due to an injury.We didn’t have a working tv screen the whole time we had our camper van, & one bed had no clean linen.Avoid this company!They only care about taking as much money from you as they possibly can!!

Fantastic service from Dan, he was so welcoming and made the whole experience easy and seamless. I will certainly be back to hire another motorhome hopefully very soon!!!
